Alaister Mckie is the fourth child of five siblings, namely Fiona, Samuel, Sarah, and Glen. His father Andrew Racheng is an ex-headmaster in primary school and his mother Dorothy Felix only as housewives. His father was also a musician and has his own band in his late 60s to 70s. As a young boy he had often heard his father play the old music like Johnny Tillotson, Everly Brothers, Jim Reeves, the Beatles, Buddy Holly and more.
Actually, he prefers playing football than playing music while in school. During adolescence, He began to interest in the field of music, especially western inspired songs like Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Silverchair and The Vines.
While in secondary school, he and his cousin (Timothy) began to establish a band called The Exhorted and Lee Evigon as a drummer. The band is always given strong opposition from a band called The Solid Youth, led by Rod and his members Jojoi and Sharma. Nevertheless, both bands have never grudge with each other because the two parties often rented the same room jamming studio owned by Melvin. (Former The Missfire lead guitarist). Only after two years together, The Exhorted split.
After completing secondary school, he began working part time in the vicinity of Kuching. Due to failure in SPM exams, He starts to work as laborers, factory, driver, and mechanic and so on. Besides working, he also took computer classes and enter the college to studying computer networks skill.
As adults age, he was addicted to high level alcohol and often drunk anywhere. He was like a lost direction and no future.
The first year of the 21st century, He and his cousins (Timothy) formed a new band The Mckizz. The Solid Youth lead singer, Rod joined the band after his group split and agree to replace Lee Evigon as a drummer. Now he is much changed, and lack of alcoholic beverages. Now he also has his own recording studio in the given name of the silent record and gives full attention to the upcoming recording project.
In the end of the year 2006, Timothy leaves the band and joined by two new member as Blazer (Bass) and Gill as a second lead guitar.
